Carers Week in the Illawarra: what's on

Carers Week is a chance to pause, be celebrated, and connect with other people who get it. Here's what's happening locally.

Monday: free morning tea at Wollongong Town Hall, hosted by Carers NSW. Drop in any time between 9 and 11am.

Tuesday: carer wellness walk along Thirroul beach, followed by a coffee. All abilities welcome — the path is fully accessible.

Wednesday: "Caring for the carer" workshop at Shellharbour Civic Centre — a relaxed session on burnout, boundaries and asking for help.

Thursday: family pizza night at Kiama Community Hall. Free for carers and the people they care for. RSVPs essential.

Friday: closing high tea at the Novotel Wollongong. A small thank-you from our community to yours.
